Lillian A. (Babe) Krause, age 95, of 1450 N. Eighth St., Manitowoc, passed away Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005 at North Ridge Medical & Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2005 at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Gerald Foley will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Lillian was born June 14, 1909 at Stangelville, daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Konop Mazanet. She attended school in Reedsville, and graduated from St. Joseph's Academy, Green Bay, in 1928. She was married to Edward A. Krause July 16, 1930, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Stangelville, by the Rev. J. Vorlicek. They celebrated 73 years of marriage. Edward preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 2004. Lillian was a member of the Ostomy Club, the Daughters of Isabella, Christian Mother's Society of Holy Innocents Church, Wisconsin Czech, Inc., Knights of Columbus Women's Club and did volunteer work for Holy Family Medical Center for many years, for which she received an honor. She loved playing cards and watching all sports on TV. Surviving her are two sons and daughters-in-law: Robert and Dorothy Krause, Shoto; Jon (Jack) and Louise Krause, Manitowoc; six grandchildren: Michael and Dawn Krause, Manitowoc; Linda and Russ Krawczyk, Freeport, Ill.; Christine Krause and Adrian Velasquez, Milwaukee; Kami and Todd Cartwright, Prior Lake, Minn.; Andrew and Michelle Krause, Waukesha; and Jill Krause, Sheboygan; 13 great-grandchildren: Adam and Tyler Krause, Manitowoc; Jared, Jennifer and Jackie Krawczyk, Freeport, Ill.; Drake, Brant and Brock Cartwright, Prior Lake, Minn.; Jacob, Caleb, Noah, Bethanie and Elijah Krause, Waukesha; three stepgrandchildren: Julie and Charles Rohrer, Two Rivers; James Wester and Cheryl Gamble, Branch; Kathryn and Michael King, Mayer, Ariz.; 13 stepgreat-grandchildren; two stepgreat-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter-in-law: Mary June Krause; three brothers: Ed, Frank and Fred Mazanet; and one sister: Ada Lawrence. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005 at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 6 to 8 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m., led by Deacon Kenn Nelesen, concluding with a service by the Daughters of Isabella. The family would like to thank the staff at North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center for the special care during Mother's stay.
