Grace was born on October 15, 1932 in Melnik to the late William and Tillie Petska Pech. She graduated from Mishicot High School with the class of 1950. On April 23, 1955, Grace married Harvey Krish at the former Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc. She was employed as a secretary at both Mirro Corporation and Color Craft Printers. Grace was an avid baker who always had her "sweet cupboard" full. She enjoyed doing craft work, touring across the countryside with the antique car club, playing cards with her granddaughters, and above all, Grace cherished being with her family and enjoyed life. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi in Manitowoc.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Harvey; one daughter and son-in-law: Kathy (Paul) Niquette, Manitowoc; three granddaughters: Lori, Peoria, IL; Jonna, Manitowoc; and Danielle, Manitowoc; also other relatives and friends.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, September 23, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. The Rev. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
Grace's family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the staff at Aurora Medical Center's ICU for the care they provided.
