Ernest Kruck, Printer, Dies
Ernest H. Kruck, 58, of 401 Cleveland Ave., veteran employe of the Manitowoc
Herald-Times, died unexpectedly at Holy Family Hospital after a coronary attack
at 7:15 a.m. Saturday.
Mr. Kruck, a native of Manitowoc, was composing room superintendent of The Herald-
Times and was completing his 35th year of employment with the publishers of the
daily newspaper.
He was born July 25, 1905, son of the late Conrad and Henrietta Kruck. He married
Irene Cavanaugh Oct. 16, 1931.
Mr. Kruck was a member of Printers Local No. 431, International Typographical Union,
AFL-CIO, Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Eagles Aerie 706.
For a number of years he had been active in community bowling circles
Surviving are his wife, two sons, Jay Kruck, of Madison and Gale Brennan, of
Brookfield, Wis., four brothers, Roy and Raymond Kruck, of Manitowoc, Clifford Kruck,
of Fond du Lac and Edward Kruck, of Toronto , Canada , and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home and
at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. The Rev. Claude LeClair will officiate and burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Monday where the Rosary will be
recited at 7 p.m.
