Irene C. Kruck, of St. Mary's Home, 2005 Division Street, Manitowoc, Wis.,
formerly of 401 Cleveland Ave., Manitowoc, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2001 at St.
Mary's Home, Manitowoc.
Private funeral services for the family will be 9:30 a.m. at The Harrigan
Parkside Funeral Home with the funeral mass for the public 10 a.m. Sacred Heart
Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev.
Gerald Foley with burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
She was born in Maple Grove, Wis., the daughter of the late Daniel and Catherine
Morrissey Cavanaugh. Irene attended St. Patrick Catholic School in Maple Grove
and Reedsville High School. She continued her education at Manitowoc County
Teachers College and then Milwaukee Teaches College where she graduated with a
degree in education. She married Ernest H. Kruck on Oct. 15, 1932. He preceded
her in death Feb. 15, 1964. Irene was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jay C. and Lois Kruck, Sturgeon
Bay, Wis.; daughter-in-law, Mary Brennan, Wauwatosa, Wis.; one brother, Ted
Cavanaugh, Rochester, Minn.; three sisters-in-law, Loretta Cavanaugh, Manitowoc,
Ruth Cavanaugh, Manitowoc, Frances Kruck, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, along with
other relatives and friends surviving. She was preceded in death by her husband
Ernest in 1964, a son Gale Brennan in 1990, five brothers and five sisters.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral
arrangements.
