RAYMOND M. KRUCK

Raymond M. Kruck, age 86, of 407 Park St., Manitowoc, died Friday evening March 3,
1995, at the North Ridge Care Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday March 7, 1995, at the First
Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Steve Olson will officiate with burial at
Evergreen Cemetery.
He was born April 17, 1908, in Manitowoc, son of the late Conrade and Henreitta
Balk Kruck. He attended schools in Manitowoc and graduated from Lincoln High
School in 1926. He was employed with the Two Rivers Reporter and Manitowoc Herald
Times for 39 years and was the Classified Ad Manager for 26 years. He enlisted
into the Armed Forces in April of 1942 and was discharged in November, 1945, as
a Staff Sgt. serving in the Army Medical Corp in Iran, France and Germany during
World War II. He married Sylvia Krieg June 8, 1932, in Manitowoc. She preceded
him in death in March, 1961. He then married Evelyn Luther on May 2, 1964. She
preceded him in death in January, 1982. He then married Frances Ritchie August 15,
1982.
He was a member of Edwin G. Nash Chapter Order of DeMolay-1926, served as master
council-1929, also was a member of advisory council from 1931-1958. He received
the DeMolay Legion of Honor on June 6, 1931. Kruck was the first to receive this
degree in Manitowoc. The Legion of Honor is the highest honor one can achieve in
the Demolay (sic). He was also a member of Manitowoc Lodge F. and A.M. #65;
Manitowoc Chapter Royal Arch Masons #16; Manitowoc Council Royal and Select Masons
#18; Manitowoc Comandaery Knights Templar #45, served as commander from 1958-1959;
Ancient Arabic Order Mystic Shrine, Tripoli Temple, Milwaukee; Tripoli Temple
Legion of Honor, Milwaukee; Two Rivers/Manitowoc Shrine Club; Tall Cedars of Lebanon.
He is also a member of Mississippi Valley Classified Adertising Manager Association,
president of the Board of Directors in 1965; the American Legion Post #88; Veterans
of Foreign Wars Post #659. Mrs. (sic) Kruck was also a member of First Lutheran
Church, he served as usher for 25 years, was on the church council during the time
Rev. Roland Schwandt, pastored; 50 year life member if (sic) B.P.O.E Elks #687;
charter member of Manitowoc Lions club and a member of Manitowoc's Golden K Club.
Surivors (sic) include his wife, Frances; two step-sons, James and Sue Luther,
Francis Creek, Ted and Lola Luther, Green Bay; six step-grandchildren; one brother-
in-law, Carl Krieg, Rockford, Ill.; sister-in-law, Irene Kruck, Manitowoc; nieces,
nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Roy, Clifton, Edward and Ernest;
three sisters-in-law.
Friends may call at the Jens Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday from noon
until the time of services. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Trust Fund of First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc Masonic
Lodge and the Shriner's Hospital for crippled childdren.
Pallbears will include James and Ted Luther, Robin Anderson, William Rutherford, Jay
Kruck and Jarrett Luther. Honorary Pallbears will be Kenneth Beck, Herbert Ansorge,
Jack Goossen, Lou Fandrick, Larry Cooper, Carl Krieg and Robert Richter.
The Jens Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
