HARLAND L. KRUEGER

Harland L. Krueger, 80, of 615 S. 31st Street, Manitowoc, died unexpectedly
Saturday morning, December 19, 1987 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11 am Tuesday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church,
Newtonburg. Rev. Timothy J. Ehlers will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Krueger was born January 17, 1907 in the Township of Newton, Manitowoc County,
son of the late Gottfried and Ottilla Herwig Krueger. He grew up and was educated
in the Township of Newton. He attended Manitowoc Business College. Mr. Krueger
was a dairy farmer in Manitowoc County all of his life. After his retirement in
1973, they moved to Manitowoc. Mr. Krueger also worked as a part time custodian
at Manitowoc Lincoln High School. He married Marie Larson on February 25, 1933
at Valders. Mr. Krueger was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church,
Newtonburg and a member of the Manitowoc Historical Society.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; a daughter and son-in-law, June and Richard
Gospodarek of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Alma Carstens of Manitowoc; five
grandchildren, Lynn Gospodarek of San Bernardino, California, Donna and her
husband, Kent Langman of Manitowoc, Debra and her husband, Tom Meineke of
Mukwonago, Wisconsin, Alan and wife Gina Gospodarek of Manitowoc and Anthony
Gospodarek of Chanute Air Force Base, Illinois; five great grandchildren, Greg
and Owen Langman, Stephanie and Jennifer Meineke, and Matthew Gospodarek; nieces,
nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lois,
one brother and four sisters.
Friends may call at Reinbold Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei State Street Chapel,
Manitowoc, 4 pm to 8 pm Monday and Tuesday at the church from 10 am to the time
of services. Memorials may be made to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church or
Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
