Emily M. Kubichka, age 86, of 1810 Menasha Ave., Manitowoc, entered
eternal life on Sunday afternoon, July 20, 2008, at her residence,
with her family by her side.
Emily was born on July 4, 1922, in Whitelaw. She was the daughter of
the late Wencil and Mary (Cisler) Hynek. In past years, she had been
employed at the Penguin Restaurant in Manitowoc. On Oct. 1, 1940, she
married Stanley E. Kubichka at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clarks
Mills. He preceded her in death on April 29, 1994. Emily was a member
of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, St. Clare Society and the
Eagle's Auxiliary. Emily enjoyed many years of quilting at the
Manitowoc Senior Center, playing cards and dice with family and friends,
and working in her garden at her country home, planting flowers and
vegetables.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Stanley, in 1994; two sons:
David, in infancy, and Randall Kubichka, in 2007; three brothers: Edwin,
Clarence and John Hynek; and one sister: Grace Brandel.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2008,
at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall. The Mass of Christian Burial will
be celebrated by the Rev. John Schuetze, with burial to be in Evergreen
Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday at St. Francis of Assisi on
Marshall from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 10 a.m.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, N. 11th and St. Clair
streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Holy Family Hospice
for the care and support they gave to Emily and her family.
Emily was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother,
who enjoyed all her children. Mom we will miss you.
