Stanley E. Kubichka, age 75, of 1810 Menasha Ave., Manitowoc, died Friday evening,
April 29, 1994, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 1994, at Harrigan
Parkside Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Roman Zbieranski, O.F.M. with burial
in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Military graveside rites will be accorded by
the AMVETS Post #23.
He was born February 13, 1919, in Manitowoc, son of the late Anton and Clara
Oswald Kubischka (sic). He graduated from Reedsville High School in 1936. He
served with the United States Army during World War II. He then obtained his
journeyman card in sheet metal work. He was employed as a sheet metal worker
for the Household Utilities in Kiel, Wis., where he retired in 1983. He married
Emily Hynek, October 1, 1940, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. He
is a member of AMVETS Post #23 of which he was Commander at the present time,
Wisconsin Sheet Metal Workers International Association, Local Sheet Metal workers
Union #18, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #706, Manitowoc Senior Center, Manitowoc
Maritime Museum and also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife, Emily; four sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Lucy
Kubichka, Roger and Constance Kubichka, Richard and LuAnn Kubichka, Randall and
Tina Kubichka, all of Manitowoc; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Karen and
Walter Knatzke, Cato, Christine Green and her special friend, Lee Wiese, Cary, Ill.,
Lori and Gene Gauther (sic), Manitowoc; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Reuben and
Lorraine Kubichka, Green Bay, Anton and Grace Kubichka, Manitowoc; 13 grandchildren
of which the first six will act as pallbearers, Thomas Kubichka, Timothy Knatzke,
Keith Knatzke, Corey (Sheila) Kubichka, Philip Green, Jason Gauthier, Kelly (Tom)
Dank, Terri Knatzke, Renee Knatzke, Darcy Kubichka, Heather Gauthier, Aaron Gauthier
and Reed Gauthier; two great grandchildren, Joshua Dank and Lauren Kubichka; along
with other relatives and friends surviving. He was preceded in death by an infant
son, David and one brother, Charles.
Friends may call at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. on Monday (TODAY).
A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. lead by Fr. Zbieranski.
In his retirement years, Stanley had the enjoyment of spending more time with his
family with his gardening, playing cards and pitching horseshoes.
