Otto C. Kuehne, 76, of Rt. 4, Manitowoc, died Sunday morning at Memorial Hospital,
Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. James Evangelical and Reformed
Church, Manitowoc, with the Rev. Paul H. Blaufuss officiating. Burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Kuehne was born March 26, 1882, at Newton, son of the late John and Margaret
Klein Kuehne. He moved to Iowa and lived in the state until returning to Manitowoc
in 1908. He married Helen Detjen June 5, 1909. She died Oct. 7, 1934. Mr. Kuehne
retired in 1951 after being employed 18 years by Manitowoc Public Utilities. He
was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge and Manitowoc Encampment No. 34.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ray Olson of Rt. 4, Manitowoc; Mrs. Victor
Neuhaus of Theinsville and Mrs. Ray Klug of Manitowoc; two sons, Ray of Manitowoc
and Kurt of Newton; four brothers, Hugo of Oskaloosa, Iowa, Kurd of Nahwa, Iowa,
Rein of Manitowoc and John of Reedsville; and 10 grandchildren.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m. Tuesday until
11:30 a.m. Wednesday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body
will lie in state until the hour of service.
