Mrs. Gerald E. Kuik Sr., 23, of 1518 S. 36th St., Manitowoc, and a daughter,
Johnita, one day old both died Wednesday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral
Home and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, the Ret. Rev. Msgr. John
Landowski officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Shirley Ann Ducat was born Dec. 12, 1938, at Manitowoc, daughter
of Emil J. and Emily Kowalski Ducat Sr. On April 23, 1957, she was married
to Gerald E. Kuik Sr., at Dubuque, Ia. After their marriage they resided at
Manitowoc.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Gerald, Lawrence and Kevin and two
daughters Cynthia and Gina Marie at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Ducat
Sr., of Manitowoc; the paternal grandfather, Eugene Ducat Sr. of Manitowoc;
five brothers, Ronald, Emil Jr., Thomas, Raymond and Richard, and four sisters,
Mrs. Raymond Kunesh, Mrs. Garfield DeGrand and Caroline and Patricia of
Manitowoc.
