Franklin Carl Kunz, 85, of 518 N. 5th Street, Manitowoc, died Wednesday, August
14, at his residence.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church Chapel. Rev.
Richard Lind will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Kunz was born November 24, 1899, at Manitowoc, son of the late Charles and
Bernice Gustaveson Kunz. Mr. Kunz was educated in the Manitowoc School System.
Mr. Kunz was self employed as an electrical and refrigeration contractor. He
married the former Marie Madson on December 20, 1936, at Manitowoc. Mr. Kunz
was a member of Manitowoc Masonic Lodge Number 65 F&AM and a life long member
of First Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; a daughter and a son-in-law, Mary and Paul
Berge of Madison; two grandchildren, Robert and Maren Berge, both of Madison;
a sister-in-law, Viola Galk of Merrill, Wisconsin and nieces, nephews and
cousins also survived. He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Friends may call at First Lutheran Church Chapel after 1 p.m. Friday until the
hour of service. There will be no Thursday evening visitation at the funeral
home. Jens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers
memorials would be appreciated to the church or the donors choice.
