RICHARD KURTH, LOCAL MAN, DIES AT BRIARTON
Richard Kurth, formerly of this city and for the past three years of Briarton,
Wis., died at his home in that city late yesterday and the body arrived in this
city today for burial which will take place tomorrow afternoon. Services will
be held from the Urbanek and Wattawa chapel at 2 o’clock and will be conducted
by the Revs. Machmiller and Uetzman.
Mr. Kurth was born in this city on February 18, 1882 and made his home here up
until three years ago when he removed to Briarton and has resided there since.
A short time ago he contracted pneumonia and yesterday succumbed to the illness.
The deceased was unmarried and besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Kurth
of this city, he is survived by one brother, William of Manitowoc and eight
sisters, Mrs. H. C. Heck, Mrs. M. Luessow, Mr. A. F. Hinz, Mr. W. L. Brueggeman,
all of Milwaukee and Mrs. A. N. Rhode, Mrs. O. R. Grainger and Mrs. C. A. Carnot
of this city and Mrs. J. H. Belika of Chicago. It is expected that all relatives
will be here for the burial tomorrow.
