DEATH CLAIMS C. LADWIG, SR., OLD SETTLER
Charles Ladwig, Sr., long time resident of the city, died early today
at the home of his son, Charles Ladwig, Jr., 1402 South Eleventh street
with whom he had made his home for several years. Death was due to a
complication of diseases from which Mr. Ladwig had been a sufferer for
months.
Decedent was a natve of Germany, born June 23, 1855, being 88 at his
death. He came to Manitowoc in yourth and had resided her since. He
is survived by four children, Louis, Charles and William, this city
and Mrs. Frank Sliger, of Green Bay. Six grandchildren also survive.
The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 from the home on
Eleventh street, the Rev. Menke officiating, with burial at Evergreen.
