EMMA LADWIG (d. 1943)

Mrs. Emma Ladwig, 84, a resident here for 77 years, died following a heart
attack this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Sliger, 918 Lincoln
street, Green Bay. She had been visiting her daughter since Sunday.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Wattawa,
Urbanek and Schlei funeral home with the Rev. Paul Blaufuss officiating.
Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Ladwig, nee Emma Raasch, was born in Germany on Jan. 7, 1859 and came to
this city from Germany with her parents when she was seven years old. Sixty-two
years ago she was married to Carl Ladwig who died 18 years ago.
Survivors are three sons, Louis of this city, Charles of Zanders and William of
Milwaukee; one daughter, Mrs. Frank Sliger of Green Bay; one sister, Mrs. John
Rezek of Antigo; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Friday noon to the hour of the
services Saturday.

Emma's parents were Johann Hermann Friedrich Rasch and Johanne Caroline Ernestine (Will) Rasch. Her birth name was Emma Maria Emilie Christina Rasch. She married Carl Jochim Friedrich Wilhelm Ladewig on October 9, 1881 in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin.
