JESS LAMBERT

Jess Lambert, 57 (photo), operator of the Lambert garage and farm implement
dealer for many years at Mishicot, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at his
home in the village at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. He had previously been in good
health.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Specht Funeral Home, Mishicot,
and at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, the Rev. George Beth officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Lambert was born in the Town of Mishicot, May 25, 1900, son of the late
Joseph and Eloise Cretton Lambert. When he was 17 years old he entered the
automobile..(line underinked)..as an auto mechanic in both Manitowoc and Two
Rivers until 1929 when he and his brother, Edward established the Lambert
Brothers Garage and began to sell farm implements. He took over the interests
of his brother nearly five years ago and had operated the business independently
since. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of Holy Cross Church for many
years.
Surviving Mr. Lambert are his wife, the former Helen Strouf whom he married at
Mishicot Dec. 28, 1928; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Staudinger of Rt. 1,
Mishicot, Mrs. Melvin Staudinger of Mishicot and Mrs. George Antonie of Madison;
four brothers, Walter of Kingsbridge, Edward of Mishicot, Arnold of Rt. 1,
Kewaunee, and George of Rt. 1, Mishicot; two sisters, Mrs. Kenneth Gerlach of
Denmark Star Route and Mrs. Walter Stueck of Mishicot and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 9:30 a.m. Friday where the Rosary
will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday.
