ROSE M. LENSMIRE

Mrs. Joseph Lensmire, 69, of 1236 Arlington Ave., Manitowoc, died Saturday
afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where she had been a patient
five days.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at
10 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. The Rev. E.A. Radey will officiate
and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
The former Rose Oswald was born June 25, 1895, in the Town of Franklin,
Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Frank and Rose Hruska Oswald. She was
married to Joseph Lensmire Aug. 29, 1921, at St. Ann Catholic Church, Francis
Creek. The couple owned and operated River Road Cheese Factory from 1926 until
1953, moving to Manitowoc. She was a member of Christian Mothers Altar Society
of Holy Innocents Church.
Surviving are her husband, a son, Howard, of Manitowoc; a daughter, Mrs.
Lawrence (Lyndoris) Bray of Sheboygan; two brothers, Frank of Kellnersville
and Anton of Rt. 2, Cato; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Nesper of Whitelaw, Mrs.
Emma Schultz of Menchalsville and Mrs. Julia Yohanek of Kellnersville; and
10 grandchildren. A brother, George, preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 8
o’clock this Monday evening by members of the parish and Christian Mothers
Altar Society.
