Edward Leslie, 69, of 3519 Forest Circle, Manitowoc, died Monday morning at
Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
The Rev. David Passet will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc, with military graveside rites by VFW Otto Oas Post No. 659 of
Manitowoc.
Mr. Leslie was born Oct. 3, 1906, at Akron, Ohio. He was a World War II veteran,
serving from July of 1942 to August of 1945 in Bermuda. He married Gertrude
Ullrich Aug. 31, 1946, at Plymouth, residing at Manitowoc since 1949. He was
employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc., until his retirement. He was a member
of Boilermakers Union Local 443 and VFW Otto-Oas Post.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Dr. Edward L. of Waukegan, Ill, and John E.,
a student of Carroll College; two daughters, Mrs. David (Suzanne) Dailey, of
Clovis, N.M., and Mrs. Thomas (Patricia) Lowther, of Oshkosh and seven grand-
children. Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday
until the time of service.
