DONALD LETTENBERGER

Donald Lettenberger, age 75, of 1036 Glenview Drive, Manitowoc, entered
eternal life Tuesday evening, Sept. 30, 2008, at St. Mary's Home at Felician
Village, Manitowoc.
Don was born July 19, 1933, in the town of Eaton (outside of St. Nazianz),
son of the late Theodore and Meta Meyer Lettenberger. He was a graduate of
Lincoln High School with the class of 1951. He served with the United States
Army during the Korean Conflict from 1953 to his honorable discharge in 1955.
On Oct. 1, 1955, he married the former Rita Pieschel at Holy Innocents
Catholic Church in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on December 15, 1980.
Don was employed for many years at Aluminum Specialty Company and the Foley
Company in sales and marketing and later was employed for Chilton Toys all in
Manitowoc. After his recovery Don had been working as a peer councilor at
Marco Services, which he enjoyed a great deal. Don was a member of St. Francis
of Assisi and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Otto Oas Post #659.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: the former Rita Pieschel on
Dec. 15, 1980; 2 sisters: Veronica Haertl and Ruth Evanson.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at St. Francis of
Assisi on Waldo. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Daniel
Felton with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Military rites will be
accorded by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Otto Oas Post #659. Relatives and
friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo on Saturday from 9 a.m. until
the time of services at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorials to be made to Marco
Services of Manitowoc.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to St. Mary's Home, especially
the staff at tower 2 for giving such good care to our father during this time.
A special thank you also to (private) for all his supportive care.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair
Streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
