CLARENCE LISHKA

Clarence J. Lishka, age 93, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center,
Manitowoc, died Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at the center.
He was born on Aug. 16, 1916, in Manitowoc, son of the late Joseph and Anna
(Chalupny) Lishka. Clarence served in the United States Army Air Corps during
World War II. On Nov. 3, 1945, he married the former Marie Menzel at St. Mary's
Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on July 8, 2001. Clarence
was employed with Weyerhauser for 38 years, retiring in August 1977. He was an
avid sports fan day in and day out and loved to play cards. Clarence was a
member of the Manitowoc Senior Center.

Clarence also was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law: Rudy Kraemer,
Floyd Menzel and Norbert Vogel.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at St. Francis
of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial
will be the Rev. Dan Felton with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
from 9 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, until the time of the morning prayer service
at 10:30 a.m. There will be no Sunday evening visitation.
The family wishes to thank all of Clarence's friends who have been supportive and
helpful these past years, including the staff at Shady Lane for the kind and
compassionate care given to Clarence.
