MOTHER OF FOUR CHILDREN IS SUMMONED
Mrs. Elsa Matthias, wife of Henry Matthias of Cleveland, died at the Holy Family hospital yesterday afternoon after an illness of almost two months. Complications set in during the latter part of the month of October and since that time Mrs. Matthias has been bedridden, having spent the last two weeks at the local hospital. The body will lie in state at the Urbanek and Wattawa chapel until tomorrow noon.
Born in this city, July 28, 1892, Mrs. Matthias, nee Buss, was 34 years old at the time of death. She was married August 23, 1910 and the family took up residence in this city, later residing at Liberty, Newton, Clarks Mills, Two Creeks and then at Cleveland where the home has been for two years past. Four children, with the father, survive. They are Evelyn, aged one, Elroy, 11, Merlin, 9, and Adelbert 4. She is also survived by her father Herman Buss, and two brothers, Arthur of Cleveland and Gerald of this city.
Funeral services will be held from the home at Cleveland, Thursday, at 11:30, to the Lutheran church at Cleveland where the Rev. Sprengling will conduct services. Burial will take place in Evergreen, this city.
