Shirley F. Miller, age 83, of 2234 Lakeside Blvd., Manitowoc, died Saturday Oct. 9, 2004, at the Hannah Home, Manitowoc. Shirley was born Sept. 22, 1921, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late E.V. and Florence Richardson Barker. She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, class of 1939. On Oct. 17, 1944, she married Winford Miller in Pratt, Kan. Shirley worked in the office at Mirro Aluminum Company for many years retiring in 1968. She was a former member of the Ladies Guild at Wesley United Methodist Church, Manitowoc. Survivors include her husband: Winford Miller, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law: Nancy and Donald Duckart, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law: Gregg and Annette Miller, Baraboo; four grandchildren: Timothy (Lisa) Duckart, Dana (Jamie) Kornely, Kelly Miller and Stacy Miller; one stepgranddaughter: Mikki Maddox; three great-grandchildren: Ernie Miller, Alyssa and Tyler Duckart; one sister-in-law: Vi Miller; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Shirley was also preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers-in-law: Florence Barker, Thelma and Theo Mills Hendrickson, Ida Barker, Ethel and Donald MacLennan; one brother and sister-in-law: Vernon and Peg Barker. The family will greet relatives and friends at Wesley United Methodist Church, from 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, until the time of service at 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, at Wesley United Methodist Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Neil Piepenburg with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
