Mrs. Rosemarie P. Mixa, age 93, formerly a resident of Two Rivers and Manitowoc,
died early Tuesday morning, May 28, 2002 at the Santa Maria Nursing Home in Green
Bay.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2002 at the Reinbold &
Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc. The Rev. Thomas Wojciechoski OFM will
officiate with burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
Rosemarie was born April 10, 1909 in Berlin, Wis., daughter of the late Charles
and Ella Grota Persick. She grew up and was educated in Hartford. On Sept. 19,
1927 she was married to John A. Mixa at St. Killian Catholic Church in Hartford.
After their marriage the couple lived in Two Rivers moving to Manitowoc in 1948.
John preceded her in death on April 82, 1982. Rosemarie was employed as a
beautician for many years at the Little Paris Beauty Salon in Two Rivers. The
couple while living in Two Rivers, was active in the Two Rivers Junior Chamber
of Commerce. Rosemarie was a past active member of Holy Innocents Parish Community
and the Third Order Secular of St. Francis of Assisi. In the past she enjoyed
playng bridge and golfing.
Survivors include two daughters: Shirleyann Van Dette of Amherst, N.Y.; and Donna
Sheridan of Green Bay; eight grandchildren: Eugene (Carol) Van Dette of Eden, N.Y.;
Roger Van Dette of Amherst, N.Y.; Marie Van Dette of Lockport, N.Y.; Andrew (Vicki)
Van Dette of Tarrytown, N.Y.; Robert (Gail) Sheridan of Manitowoc; Eileen (David)
Weller of Whitefish Bay; Michael (Lori) Sheridan of Manitowoc; Patrick (Caroline)
Sheridan of Sussex, Wis.; 11 great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in
death by one great-granddaughter: Kathy Sue Sheridan; and four sisters: Margaret
Kurtzheim, Anna Lenz, Genevieve Precour and Josephine Ruedi.
