Well Known Young Business Man Victim of Pneumonia at Hospital Sunday,
Eagles to Officiate at Burial
Joseph Peterik, one of the city’s well known young business men, for
years engaged in conducting a motorcycle and bicycle shop on Buffalo
street, died at the hospital Sunday afternoon, aged 40. News of the

friends who had no thought that his condition was critical.
Taken ill a week ago when pneumonia developed from a severe cold which
he contracted while making a long motorcycle trip, Mr. Peterik was taken
to the hospital Tuesday and his condition continued to grow worse until
Sunday when death came.
Mr. Peterik came to this city with his parents at the age of 18 and
shortly after opened a bicycle repair shop and later located at 710
Buffalo street where he also made his home. He was born July 7, 1877.
Decedent is survived by a widow and three children, the oldest 14 years;
his mother, four sisters and two brothers, one brother John and a sister,
Mrs. W.C. Kadow, residing here. The funeral will be held under auspices
