Albert Post, 79, of 1315 Philippen street, father of City Clerk Arthur Post, died
suddenly Sunday morning at the Holy Family hospital.
The body will lie in state at the Pfeffer funeral home. The funeral will be held at
2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Paul Blaufuss officiating. Burial will be
in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Post was born in Germany in 1867 and came to this country as a young man. He
married Marie Krause in 1890, who preceded him in death. He retired 15 years ago
after being custodian at the Jefferson school for 25 years.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. George Call, Mrs. Clifford Aumann, and Mrs.
Emily Witt of the city; one son, Arthur of the city; three sisters, Mrs. Albert Daugs,
Mrs. August Vetter of the city; Mrs. Emily Hopf of Los Angeles, Calif., five grand-
children and one great grandchild.
