MOTHER OF DEPUTY CLERK DIES FRIDAY
Mrs. A. Post, 62, Stricken With Heart Attack and
Passes Away Few Hours Later
Mrs. Albert Post, 62, mother of Deputy City Clerk Arthur Post died
last night at ten o'clock at the family home, 1315 Phillipen street,
after being stricken with heart attack at ten o'clock Friday morning.
Mrs. Post, although a sufferer from heart failure had been up and
about as usual the past few days. Friday morning she was about but
later was stricken and sank rapidly until the end came last night.
Born in Germany 62 years ago, Mrs. Post has been a resident of Manitowoc
for forty years. Her maiden name was Marie Krause and she came to this
country in 1890 and was married at Oconomowoc that same year to Albert
Post. A short time later they removed to this city where they have since
resided. For years Mr. Post has been janitor at the Jefferson school.
Husband, 5 Children, Survive
Besides the husband, three daughters, Miss Elsie Post, Mrs. Emil Witt
and Mrs. Clifford Aumann, all of this city and two sons, William and
Arthur Post, also of this city, survive.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Monday afternoon from the home
and at two o'clock from the German Lutheran church, Rev. Koenninger
officiating.
