Leo A. Schroeder, 80, of 1507A Columbus St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Schneider-Mittnacht Funeral
Home and 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. John
Hephner will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Schroeder was born Dec. 18, 1896, at Manitowoc, son of the late Emil and
Louise Maier Schroeder. He married Loretta Dusold Oct. 26, 1925. He was a World
War I veteran and an architectural draftsman, working for Raeuber Architects in
his early years. Mr. Schroeder was assistant City of Manitowoc assessor for 22
years and then was employed by Stubenrauch Associates Inc. of Sheboygan until
his retirement. He was a member of St. Boniface Parish, and Fraternal Order of
Eagles and a charter member of American Legion Drews-Bleser Post No. 88.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Marilyn) Pritzl, of
Kiel and Mrs. George (Carol)_Pautz, of New Holstein; a sister, Mrs. J.P.
(Florine) Kehl, of Manitowoc, 14 grandchildren and a great grandchild. A daughter,
Mrs. Margaret Kurth, a brother and a sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Schneider-Mittnacht Funeral Home from 4 to 9 o’clock this
Thursday evening, where a prayer service will be at 7 o’clock.
