James A. Stern, age 69, of 770 East Albert Drive, Manitowoc, died on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at his residence.
James was born on December 19, 1941 in Manitowoc, WI, son of the late George and Genevieve (Stanzel) Stern. He was a graduate of Mishicot High School with the class of 1960. James was in the Army National Guard until being honorably discharged in December of 1969. He was also a member of the local AMVETS post 99.
Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law: Patricia and Norm DeBauche, Manitowoc; two brothers and sisters-in-law: George and Betty Stern, York, PA, Daniel and Helen Stern, San Diego, CA; two sisters-in-law: Lavern Stern, Yorbalinda, CA, Sharon Stern, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. James was also preceded in death by one sister and brother-in-law: Doloris and Stanley Cherney; and two brothers: Dennis and Thomas Stern.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Graveside Service will be Deacon Paul Kieffer. Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home and All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
