DEATH OF MISS WAGE IS SHOCK TO MANY FRIENDS
Complications which necessitated an operation on Wednesday, caused the death
of Miss Anna Wage, 21, at the Holy Family hospital, early Sunday morning. Miss
Wage was born in this city, March 2, 1901 and had always made her home in this
city.
The deceased was a member and an ardent worker in circles of the St. John’s
Evangelical church. She was vice president of the Emmanuel society, was a
member of the choir, and taught Sunday school, and her co-church workers keenly
feel their loss. Miss Wage was an employee of the aluminum Goods.
Decedent is survived by her step-mother, Mrs. August Wage, and eight brothers,
William, Max and August of Milwaukee, Walter of Chicago, and Henry, Carl,
Rheinhardt and Clarence of this city. She is also survived by one aunt, Mrs.
Herman Gruenke of this city and other relatives are Mrs. Clara Schreiber of
Toledo, Mrs. George Rehfield and William Gruenke of Chicago, and Herman Gruenke
Jr., of Norfolk, W. Va.
The funeral services will take place at two o’clock Tuesday at the St. John’s
Evangelical church with burial at the Evergreen cemetery. The Rev. G. A. Winger
will have charge of the services.
