Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran
Church at Newtonburg, the Rev. F.C. Kneuppel officiating. Burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Anna Detjen was born Nov. 13, 1838, in the town of Manitowoc,
daughter of the late Henry and Anna Pape Detjen. She was married to Otto Weyer
Sr. on June 5, 1909, and the couple resided on Rt. 1, Manitowoc. Mr. Weyer died
in 1933. Mrs. Weyer was a member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ottmar Mahnke of Manitowoc and Mrs.
Emmett Luebke of Schenectady, N.Y.; a son, Harold of Rt. 1, Manitowoc; two
brothers, Reinhold and Erich Detjen of Manitowoc; and 11 grandchildren. A son,
Otto Jr., died in July of this year.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 3 p.m. Friday
until 11 a.m. Saturday when the casket will be moved to the church where the
body will lie in state until the hour of service.
