RAYMOND F ZIMMERMANN

Raymond F. Zimmermann, 68 of 505 S. 26th St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday evening
in Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be in First German
Evangelical Lutheran church Manitowoc. The Rev. Norval W. Kock will officiate
and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Zimmermann was born March 22, 1910, in the town of Maple Grove, Manitowoc
County, son of the late Albert and Emelia Maertz Zimmermann. He was reared and
educated in the town of Maple Grove, and farmed until 1952, when he moved to
Manitowoc. He married Elli Kuester Sept. 6, 1952 in St. John-St. James Lutheran
Church, “Reedsville. Mr. Zimmermann worked for the city of Manitowoc as a park
attendant at Silver Creek Park, retiring in 1974. He was a member of First
Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Elli, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard and
Margaret Zimmermann of Oak Lawn, Ill., and Albert and Nora Zimmermann of
Reedsville; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mrs. Frieda Braun, Anna and
Harry Ziarnik and Clara and Arnold Rappel of Manitowoc; an uncle, John
Zimmermann; an aunt, Ida Zimmermann and nieces and nephews. Two brothers,
William and Norbert preceded him in death.
