According to her mother's prayer book, Katharina Schottmueller was born at six o'clock in the morning, on the 15th of May 1895. Her mother, Helena wrote the following: "Katherina was born under the sign of Zwillines."

Sadly, little Katherina did not survive childhood. According to information found within her mother's prayer book was an entry made, which reads: "Katherina died at 8 o'clock in the morning of 6th April 1892." Katherine was just weeks shy of her 7th birthday. Cause of death was said to be heart disease. Katherina was buried in Calvary Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
