S. Keith Thompson, 75, died of heart failure on Friday, Feb. 15, 2002. His wife and children were at his side.He was born Oct. 2, 1926, in Logan, the oldest child of Seymour and Mary Peterson Thompson. He married Charlene Zolling-er Dec. 29, 1952, in the Logan LDS Temple. He was educated in Cache County schools, graduated from North Cache High School, and in 1953 received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy from Utah State University. In 1945, he served his country as a member of the Army Air Corps., and later participated in the occupation of Japan. In November 1947, he began two years of service as a missionary in the Northern California Mission. He had a great love of the land, and he particularly loved Cache Valley. He was successful in all of his agricultural endeavors. He had other business interests, and at the time of his death was president of TAKI Casuals International, Inc. He had many church callings throughout his life including the Stake Sunday School Superintendency. For many years, he was a respected Gospel Doctrine teacher. At the time of his death he was a home teacher. Our husband and father was known for his kindness and his many acts of service to those in need.

His concern, and constant support have blessed the lives of many relatives and friends. He was well read, and had a vast knowledge of religion, history, science, and contemporary events. He would not tolerate injustice in any form, and always came to the defense of the vulnerable. Keith loved spending time with Charlene at their home in Palm Springs. He looked forward to the winter months when they would travel to California and he would see his grandsons. They were his greatest joy. He is survived by his wife, Charlene, of Salt Lake City, and his four children: Alan Keith of Salt Lake City; Valoie of Henderson, Nev.; Steve (Tamara) of Logan; and Annette (Dr. Craig) Donaldson of Henderson, Nev. He is survived by his two grandsons, Andrew and Jacob Donaldson. He is also survived by his six brothers and sisters: Jenna Lou (Bill) McKinney of Perry; Carlos E. (Roma) Thompson of Logan; Elaine (Jack) Greathouse of Perry; Marilynn (Lorin) Brown of Cedar City; Kathy (Edward) Behling of Albuquerque; and George (Jett) Thompson of Jackson, Wyo. Funeral services were held Feb. 19, 2002, and interment was in the Logan City Cemetery.
