MRS. A.C. HOWARD OF OAKLAND DIES
Mrs. Aldaretta C. Howard, 73, of Oakland, Oregon died Thursday, August 10, 1950 in a Roseburg, Oregon hospital, after a long illness. She was born in Pennsylvania, April 10, 1877. She moved with her parents to Oregon at the age of 14. She was a member of the South Free Methodist Church from an early age and of the Free Methodist Church for the last 25 years. She was the widow of the late Henry M Howard, who died in April 1947. She is survived by the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Hazel Baird and Mrs. Winnie Baird of Oakland, Oregon, Mrs. Lula Neves and Mrs. Myrtle Burchell of Umpqua, Oregon, Mervyn Howard of Oakland, Oregon and Alfred Howard of Cottage Grove, Oregon; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be held in the Community Church, Oakland, Oregon on Monday at 2pm with the Rev. E.F. Lee of Salem, Oregon officiating. Interment wil be in the Coles Valley Cemetery, Umpqua, Oregon. Arrangements are in charge of the Stearns Mortuary, Oakland, Oregon.
