Dr. Enders was the 14th child of George Enders and Susannah Fetterhoff Enders. He married his second cousin, Anna Jane Enders, the daughter of Samuel and Leah Etter Enders. Levi and Anna had five children. After Levi's death, she married George F. Fetterhoff. Dr. Enders' obituary describes him as "one of the ablest physicians of this section."
