Mrs. Mathilda Haarmann Dies At Home In Sheboygan Today
Mrs. Mathilda Haarmann, wife of Fred Haarmann, passed away at her home, 1224 Michigan Avenue, after a lingering illness. She was confined to her bed for a period of nine months. The deceased was born August 4, 1862, in town Schleswig, Manitowoc County, on the farm home of her parents. She spent her girlhood on the farm and attended the local district school. She was united in marriage to Fred Haarmann September 18, 1898, and since that time made her home in Sheboygan. She was a faithful member of St. John's Evangelical church, where she attended services regularly. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Quante.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Clara Robbins and Mrs. Charles Kramer of Elkhart Lake; four grandchildren, Misses Marian and Ethel Bielefeld, Miss Lucille Kramer and Carl Kramer of Elkhart Lake; three brothers, August Ouante of School Hill, Rudolph of Schleswig and Henry of Bilingham, Wash.; and two sisters, Mrs. Fred Koeppen of School hill and Mrs. August Roehl of Schleswig.
Funeral services will be held Monday from the Ballhorn Funeral Temple and at St. John's Evangelical church, the Rev. E. R. Krueger officiating. Interment will be made in the Lutheran cemetery.
