Beatrice was born in Cherokee County, Georgia, August 5, 1924, daughter of the late William Oscar and Beulah Vandora Fowler Clayton. She was a member of Stoner Chapel Baptist Church where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class and the Ladies' Circle. Mrs. Brown was retired with over forty years of service, from Kuhlman Chenille, where she was a seamstress. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she enjoyed family get-togethers, spending time with and caring for her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Emmett Howell, a son, Roger Howell, five brothers, Dennis, Lawrence, Paul, Judd, and J. C. Clayton, and two sisters, Lois Pratt and Robbie House McStotts.
Survivors include her husband, W F Brown of Adairsville; sons and daughters-in-law, David Lewis and Vickie Howell of Blairsville, and Calvin and Nancy Howell of Adairsville; a daughter, Dianne and Donald Collum of Adairsville; a daughter-in-law, Jan Howell of Adairsville; a sister, Doris Parker of Adairsville; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Janice Ray, and nephews, Danny House and Jerral Clayton
Funeral services will be held from Stoner Chapel Baptist Church, Adairsville, with Rev. David Baker and Rev. Tracy Collum officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
