Vito Russomanno, 90, of Lakewood, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at his home. Born and raised in Newark, he lived in Nutley and Toms River before moving to Lakewood 1 year ago. Mr. Russomano was a carpenter with United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America Local 1342. Vito was an Army Air Forces veteran serving as a corporal during World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 129, Toms River.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Carmella J."Millie" (Aquilino) Russomanno, his daughter, Lisa Ann Wagoner, and his brother, Ray Russomanno, he is survived by his sons, Victor and his wife, Sharon, Ronald and his wife, Lynn, Raymond, and Gerald and his wife, Vivian; and his son-in-law, Donald Wagoner. He also leaves his 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and his brothers, Leon (Rudy) and Albert Russomanno.

Visiting will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16 at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home(www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley. Funeral at 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17 from the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Nutley, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.
