They say George Townsend, of Baldwin, has joined the noble army of the benedicts; that he was married to Miss Bertha Sanborn last Thursday. Congratulations, George.
Note: Bertha Sanborn Townsend died in 1894 of consumption. Her name was inscribed on the opposite side of her mother's gravestone, Fannie Heath Sanborn, who had died in 1884 after giving birth to triplets. Bertha's married surname was not inscribed on the monument.
