I, Louis Lycurgus Tackitt live at Leedey, Oklahoma. I have been a resident of Oklahoma for 22 years. I am 80 years old. I enlisted in the Texas Frontier Regiment in 1862 and in 1863 was transferred to Confederate service and service in Confederate service until the close of the war in 1865, I served all the time under Captain White Company and Colonel McCord's Regiment, of the Texas Frontier Regiment the entire regiment being transferred to the Confederate Service in 1863. I enlisted in 1862 at Fort Belknap, Texas. I was discharged at the end of the war in 1865 at Fort Belknap, Texas.
