MOTHER OF 18 IS CLAIMED BY DEATH

Mrs. Ida Fischer, nee Krepline, wife of Robert Fischer, Reedsville farmer, and mother of 18 children, thirteen of whom live to see the passing of their mother, died at the family home a few miles from Reedsville early this morning, gallstones being the cause of her death.
Born near Rockland, June 11, 1882, Mrs. Fischer was forty-four years of age at the time of her demise. In 1899 she was married to Robert Fischer and the couple took up a residence on a farm near Reedsville.
Eighteen children were born to them, thirteen of whom survive. Mrs. Fischer is also survived by her father, Louis Kreplin. Of the children, the majority make their homes in this county, there being four daughters, Mrs. Julius Behnke of Peshtigo, and the Misses Lila, Adeline and Verona; and nine sons, Reinhardt, Leonard, Irving, Robert, Elroy, Arnold, Henry, Reuben and David. Four brothers, Henry, Louis, Robert and Frank, and three sisters, Mrs. Rudolph Behnke, Mrs. Bernard Reinke and Mrs. Otto Bessert, also survive.

Funeral services will be held at the Rockland Evangelical church Sunday afternoon at 1:30, the Rev. Jordan officiating in the absence of the Rev. Reichert.
