Robert Fischer Sr., 98, of Brillion, died Thursday evening at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc following a short illness.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Faith United Methodist Church, Brillion. The Rev. Edward Johnson will officiate and burial will be in Rockland Cemetery.

Mr. Fischer was born Sept. 9, 1873, in Germany, son of the late William and Charlotte Zahn Fisher. He married Ida Krepline Dec. 15, 1899, at Eden, Wis. They farmed in the Town of Rockland. She preceded him in death in 1926.
He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Brillion.

Survivors include eight sons, Reinhardt and Arnold, of rural Manitowoc, Leonard, David, Robert, Elroy and Ruben, of Brillion and Henry, of Reedsville; four daughters, Mrs. Julius (Ruth) Behnke and Mrs. Adaline Behnke, of Reedsville, Mrs. Adolph (Lyla) Wunsch, of rural Brillion and Mrs. Ernest (Verona) Drueger, of Valders; 46 grandchildren, 100 great grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and 10 step great granchildren. Three sisters, four brothers, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren preceded him in death.

Friends may call at Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion, after 3 p.m. Saturday until 11:30 a.m. Sunday and then at the church from noon until the time of service. A vigil service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
