Albert was the son of Jacob "Add" and Sophia Geller Snoots. He was engaged in the wholesale granite and marble business. His career took him to live in Texas, Boston, Chicago and then back home to Zanesville. He was also active in the Masons, having become a member of that organization in 1875.
Albert died at the home of his sister Anna O'Neal after a long illness. He was survived by siblings Anna O'Neal, Mary Sauer, Harvey, Homer and Howard Snoots. Also by uncles John and George Snoots and his aunts Sarah Harress and Emily Bainter, and many cousins.
