Buried next to his baby daughter, Anna Lucille Bridges. Husband of Frankie. Father of Lisa Marie & James who were 6 weeks and 6 years old respectively, at the time of their father's death. Survived by parents: Mr. & Mrs. Celce Bridges Sr. of Atkins Arkansas, and siblings: Raybern, Pete, Claude, Gay, Jessie, Norva, Ressie, Fair and Pauline.

Cause of death: (from obituary October 10, 1968 Half Moon Bay Review/Pescadero Pebble newspaper): "Bridges was buried under 25 tons of dirt...when the dirt loader he was driving toppled over a sheer 30-foot cliff at the Pacific Coast Aggregates Comapny quarry in Brisbane, landing upside down on top of him. It took rescue workers two and a half hours to lift the loader away and dig him out."
