M. Grace Shimek, age 84, of 2210 Marshall St., Manitowoc, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, at her residence.
Private family funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service was the Rev. Tom Wojciechowski O.F.M. with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum Chapel, Manitowoc.
She was born Aug. 18, 1919, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Gustave and Mary Reedy Ceaglske. Grace was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, class of 1936.
Survivors include her children and their spouses: Larry and Linn Shimek, Sebring, Florida; Nancy Meyer, Green Bay; Richard and Rose Shimek, Manitowoc; Donna Hetu, Manitowoc; her sister: Marie Beatty, Manitowoc; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and her special pet, Pep-E. She was also preceded in death by her brother: Victor Ceaglske.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
