Mrs. Mary Dovie Holley Thompson, 79, of Rt. 2, Bassett, died early today in Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.
She was born in Franklin County to the late John and Mary Dillon Hollandsworth. She was of the Primitive Baptist faith.
Surviving are one son, Billy F. Holley of Martinsville; two daughters, Mrs. Calie Hall and Mrs. Minnie Aheron of Bassett; three sisters, Mrs. Orphia Mize, Mrs. Velma Thompson and Mrs. Lessie Atkins, all of Bassett; four brothers, Harry Hollandsworth, Freddie Hollandsworth, Johnson Hollandsworth and the Rev. Troy Hollandsworth all of Bassett, and eight grand children.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Old Center Primitive Baptist Church conducted by Elders Leonard Brammer and Leonard Corns. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at Collins Funeral Home, Collinsville, where the family will be from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday.
