SUICIDE IN IOWA.

Former Resident of Poplar Bldge Killed Himself While Insane.

Charles H. Mosher, whose death was chronicled in Friday's paper, committed suicide by shooting himself at Central City, Iowa. Mr. Mosher formerly lived at Poplar Ridge in this county. Sometime ago his mind became affected and his physician recommended a change of scene. Acting on this suggestion Mr. Mosher and his wife went to Central City, Iowa. There he was constantly under the care of physicians and his relatives kept a sharp watch on him.

Recently he had appeared to be better and on Wednesday after a tramp in the woods he returned to the house where he and his wife were stopping and told of seeing an unusually large woodchuck. He was anxious to kill the animal, he said, and so was allowed to take a shotgun. When he did not return in a reasonable time, his family became alarmed and after a two hour search he was found in the woods dead and it was clearly a case of premeditated suicide.

The remains arrived here Saturday and burial took place Sunday at King Ferry cemetery at 1 p. m.
