Mrs Ruby Arts, of Belgrade passed away peacefully Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at Elsie's Assisted Living with her three daughters by her side. She was born October 18, 1927 in Boulder to Frank and Mett Barnes. Ruby moved to the Gallatin Valley at the age of 5. She attended elementary school in Central Park and graduated from Belgrade High School.

Ruby married Ben Arts in November of 1948 and together they had five children. Ruby had a great sense of humor and always had a good joke to tell. She loved to paint and draw pictures. She had a very gentle nature and touched the lives of everyone she met.

Ruby was preceded in death by her son, Darin; her husband, Ben; and four brothers. She is survived by her children, Carolyn Wilmont of Bozeman, Diana (Bill) Flynn of Belgrade, Steve (Sharon) Arts of Colorado and Sylvia Anderson of Belgrade; seven grandchildren, Matt and Shannon Flynn, Brian and Mike Anderson, Ted and Benjamin Arts, Jodi Arts; and two great grandchildren, Reece and Graham Anderson. Ruby is also survived by her sisters, Rita Lochridge, Betty Jones and Vera Peterson.

Ruby's family would like to thank the staff of Elsie's Assisted Living for their loving care. She will be buried next to her husband in Sunset Memorial Park in Belgrade.
