Denison. The community was shocked to hear of the sudden death ofW. H. Medlock at 2:30 o'clock Thursday morning. He had not been ill and his death was due to heart failure .... He was 70 years and four months of age, having been born in Kentucky, Feb. 15, 1841. He moved, with his parents, to Salem, Mo., when a boy and later went from there to Jefferson City, where at the age of 20 he married Miss Carrie Kinser. After three years service he was honorably discharged from the Union army, and moved soon after the war to a farm near Whiting. In 1888 he moved with his family to Taylor Creek, where they lived six years, after which they lived six years in Larkin later removing to a farm northwest ofLarkin where they lived ten years, moving to Denison Jan. 20, 1910. Mr. and Mrs. Medlock were the parents of ten children, eight of whom are living. The boys are Henry, George, Edward, William and Joseph, and the girls are Mrs. Minnie Campbell of Whiting, Mrs. Ida Rice ofDenison, and Mrs. Doxie Rooker of Texarkana, Ark..... burial was made in the cemetery north ofDenison.
