THOMAS BLOODSWORTH RHOADES was born in Thurlby, North Lincolnshire ENGLAND in on August 15, 1853.

"Father {Thomas B. Rhoades} never used the name 'Bloodsworth'. It was an old family name dating back 400 years. He did not like it, so he just signed "Thomas". His people owned brick yards in Lincolnshire. His last brother died before he did. (this information provided by his daughter, Bessie Pierson nee Rhoades).
