PLATTSBURGH – Charles J. Sharland of 98 Peru St., died Thursday after a long illness. His age was 79.
Mr. Sharland was a retired employee of the ITT Laboratory in Nutley, N.J.
He was born Nov. 23, 1891, at Port Henry, son of the late Louis and Cecilia (Stay) Sharland.
Mr. Sharland is survived by three sons, Charles Jr., Louis and George, all of New York City, and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Brown Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. John's Church Saturday morning at 9. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Bearers were Raymond Ayotte, Raymond Carmichael, Walter Dubuque, Walter Dubuque. Jr., William Dubuque and Adrian LaMar.
Burial was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery where Father Sharland said the committal prayers.
